■ Our namesake:

We often get the question “where does your business name come from, what does it mean”

Well, simply put a Shield Maiden refers to a warriors wife or girlfriend back when Vikings roamed the earth. A Shield Maiden would carry the shields and weapons for their men while on their way to a large battle or war. Eventually, as the men began dying, the women would take up those arms and begin fighting. It is argued that nearly 30% of Viking battles were fought and won by Shield Maidens.

So why is that our business name? Our founders both grew up with both major female influences as well as a heavy family focus. This, combined with their passion for firearms and defense led our team to begin research and development on many female based carry options. We are looking to soon release some of these advancements but we won’t dive too deep into the details of those just yet.
